Remel Spectra™ MRSA selected for Premier QUEST program
Remel Spectra™ MRSA was selected by Premier's QUEST - High Performance Hospitals Collaborative because of its innovation and proven performance to aid in the prevention and control of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Spectra MRSA was one of six technologies chosen from a pool of 80 applicants to be part of the Comparative Innovation Program. The program tests the effectiveness of innovative technologies in an effort to improve the quality, reliability, safety, and cost-effectiveness of patient care. The program will help hospitals get access to these technologies faster so that the benefits to patients and healthcare organizations can be realized sooner.
Premier's Comparative Innovation Program is part of the QUEST - High Performing Hospitals Collaborative, a program of the Premier Healthcare Alliance, one of the nation's leading healthcare purchasing networks. QUEST is a three-year quality improvement collaborative with 166 hospitals treating approximately 2.3 million inpatients annually across 31 states. Through the collaborative, these hospitals are working together to share best practices and systematically initiate efforts that will dramatically improve quality and patient outcomes for our healthcare system. QUEST is the only quality improvement initiative of its kind to bring together such a broad range of stakeholders to deliver the highest quality, most cost-effective, and most satisfying hospital experience for patients nationwide.
